Quick downpipe and o2 housing question.

Whats up guys, new to this forum and the dsm scene but just a little bit of backround info before i go ahead with my question. i graduated uti last month and am working at a nissan/jaguar dealership. I drive a 99' eclipse GST with plans to mod it in the works. Okay, onto the question!

I have been looking around for downpipes for my car since i am upgrading to a Big 16g turbo. I either want to go with a 2.75" downpipe or 3" downpipe. My first question is, has anyone dealt with Mirage Power and their downpipes? They have pretty good prices on their DPs and its a 2.5" inlet and a 3" outlet. Will this bolt directly up to my factory o2 housing?

2nd question. I was looking around on ebay, and i came across a new o2 housing with a dump tube for the wastegate. I am a fan of the external dump, and the way it sounds makes me smile . So any input on these 2 parts would be greatly appreciated.

eBay is great for exhaust. Taco, Mirage, and SRS all good IMO.

oh thats great news man, i was looking around i was kinda skeptical about buying an ebay downpipe. I figured the design was so simple, they could easily produce these DP's for dirt cheap.

As far as the o2 housing goes, will the 2.5" inlet on the downpipe fit with the factory o2 housing for now, untill i upgrade to an external dump.

If I had my car together I'd make you a video of my exhaust. I went with eBay o2, cat delete down pipe, and SRS Cat back. Sounds great.

cant wait to order a downpipe and the o2 housing with dump tube! Also, does this downpipe replace the factory cat, or does it just bolt up to it after the downpipe?

Yes a 2.5" inlet will blot up to your factory o2 sensor housing, even most aftermarket o2 housing are 2.5". As far as eliminating the cat, some do, some don't. Check the items description or ask the seller. I don't know that I've ever seen a 2.75 downpipe for our cars, stick with 3".

Iam running a eBay o2 housing with dump on a 16g n 2.5" inlet n 3" full megan racing exhuslt n it sounds nice! Love the o2 housing the inlet is a 3" and the o2 dump tube is a little small compared to stock hole but other then that I love it and sounds nice! You should buy everything togather and put on the o2 housing when u out them turbo in so it's not a pain to put in after the Turbo is in. I got my o2 housing after I got my turbo n it was a little pain to take the old one out and put the new one in but I got it done!

the downpipe isnt full 2.75" my friend bought a downpipe from taco for like $80 on the listing it says its a 2.75" pipe but it just necks down at the end. it starts at 2.5 all the way to the flex section then after its 3" then necks to 2.75"

what do you guys that get the cat delete downpipe do with the sensor thats behind the cat?

I have used sparkplug anti-foulers to prevent a check engine light from popping up, but it may be different for dsm's. That, or if you are running ECMlink, you can just tune it out.

just go to ebay and type "eclipse gst downpipe" into search, you will get all the different brands he mentioned. I noticed almost all of them are made exactly the same from the same material and even share the same discription , I ended up getting one for $26 plus $63 shipping, $90 for a downpipe that is made exactly the same as a "brand name" downpipe is a sweet deal if you ask me

For the o2 housing with external dump for the IWG, will it need to be ported when paired up with a big 16g turbo to prevent boost creep, or will the external dump cure any and all creep problems?

So i ended up just buying this downpipe today, not sure if i am going to need a test pipe or if it will just bolt directly up the catback. heres teh link of the one i bought.
