did anyone have any problems with their n1 dp and the evoIII o2 housing. i heard it puts too much stress on the flex section. i just want to know if im gonna have to buy a new dp or what

also with the n1 downpipe is it necessay to get a 34mm flapper for the evo3 16g. they say its good for a 3 inch dp. do they mean full 3 inch

it should bolt up, but like you said, with stress on it. Worst case, don't buy a new pipe, take your car to a muffler shop, have them cut it at the forward flex point then bolt it up to the O2 then re-weld it in place, it will be less stress on it and cost a lot less then buying a new dp. You should have just got a 2.5" ss O2, that is all that the Evo III o2 is ported out to anyways and u wouldn't have had the hassle of messing with the flange degree being different then your dp.

there are a buttload of threads on this issue. used advanced search and keyword EVO

good luck
