Questions about nitrous

Has anyone tried the so called 30 shot nitrous kit being sold.It comes with real nitrous but they are small canisters like c02.They use them for whip cream dispensers.Ive heard alot of good things.For a short boost,only like 3-5 seconds.I even looked on ebay and found a guy selling them with some impressive feedback.Not perfect but you cant please everyone.I found a site that sells refills really cheap I even found all the hook ups as well.Also what kind of damage if any is caused by nitrous.

Nitrous is a really safe mod if done right. Most of these kits that you find on ebay that have the small tanks are dry kits and just send in nitrous and not any added fuel. To do this you would need to adjust the fuel to bump up at the right time but even with that small of a shot I don't think it would make you run too lean. Now back to these kits online, I have seen a few online that come with a 1.4lb tank or something in that area (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...ry=33740&item=7983489284&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW), that may seem like a small tank and it is but that fact is they are made to be put in small places and hidden. You don't have to use only ONE tank you can attach multiple tanks up with a few adapters and then hav something that you can build a casing for that will look alot better than a big 10lb tank.

As long as you make sure you aren't running too lean with either a wideband or maybe adjusting it with a SAFC then you should be doing just fine. Some say that a small shot like that will only take off .5-.7 tenths of a second but some on that is .5 seconds off of a 11 second car getting it possibly into the 10s. Now obviously you're N/T so don't even been thinking of getting those times but you can get a nice shot of power out of it and still keep your gas mileage unlike us turbo guys that lose more and more with each mod.

This is acually the size of a c02 cannister for a pellet gun with a one time 30 shot.Can this be so???

The thing with those is that you can't refill the tanks, those little things may cost you out the ASS if you have to buy them. Also it's not the tank that determines the 30shot it is the injector so I see that kit as being a scam because. Also there is NO WAY you are going to gain 40hp. You may be able to sue them if it doesnt because it is guaranteed. Go get your car dynoed before and after and then tell them it didn't give you 40hp and they HAVE to give you money back or something. If not ebay can deal with it.
