1G Nitrous questions

I got a 90 tsi awd. Mildly built (400-425hp range) I have a NOS wet kit that has been siting around for awhile now and Was thinking about using it. Its a brand new kit single nozzel. My questions are... 1. Best place to put the nozzel in the intake? 2. optimal Shot size? (Thinking between 50 & 100) 3. I'm tunning with jackel is link easier? (Bought the car pretuned. not a lot of experience tunning but didn't know if the link was worth the change over.) Can post car set up if needed or check my DSM car profile

If you want my personal opinion. Sell the nos. Unless your tsi is a drag strip only car. But I'd still stray away from nos due to the damage it does over time.[DOUBLEPOST=1408770956][/DOUBLEPOST]So I learned something new. (Still personally would never install a no's kit) so found this for you. And with all I've heard of link. (And by link you mean EPROM ecu tuning) I recommend switching over.

Myth-nos is bad for your engine
Nitrous oxide itself can not damage your engine. However, improper tuning and misuse of a nitrous system can cause drastic parts failure as will any mistuned turbo system or supercharged system. If you lean out or detonate any of these combinations engine damage will occur. Most nitrous systems, if used as directed, will not cause damage to your engine. Most people purchasing a nitrous system are looking for an edge on their competition. Carelessly attempting to tweak more out of their combination then the equipment was designed for, however, as in any performance engine, can and ultimately will result in engine damage.

Assuming maintenance is up to date. Spray away people that have never used nitrous will always say stay away because nitrous is bad. if you have ostric might aswell stay with it. Pull some timing 2 deg per 50 shot
Also you need to run a step colder plug when on the spray. 100 shot is what I would run

The myth thing was off of a racing site. And even if it proves nitrous isn't bad if you can tune. I personally still would never install such a thing in my car.

It is something that has to be tuned for, nitrous comes on very quickly and can be activated at 2500rpm up. So the best way is to do some quick calculations, which I have in tuning book and will give you if your interested. Make sure your pump, injectors, plugs like 90gsx juice said. And work your way from a known rich and slightly retarded timing setting, gradually leaning out and advancing timing.
