ok, i figured that this would be best to put this thread in the newbie category because there just isnt much information about it in the archives. Anyways, from what I have learned from the little that I found on searching this is that the phantom grip inserts seem to mess up and are not a good product. On the other hand everyone talks highly of the B & M insert. Please share what kind that you have and what your experiences have been with it. Also, I have heard that these things will make your handling worse...is this true? I keep recalling the one phrase that I read, "you will just have to learn to take wider turns" By the way, this is going on a automatic tranny GST with about 280 hp.

Thanks :dsm:

Well I have been using the B&M for awhile now. No problems yet. As far as the wider turns I didnt really notice much of a difference. However, I dont had power steering either. B&M, slicks, and a good suspension. I have managed to pull off a 1.6 60' in my fwd. Hope that helps.

I also have a FWD Tsi, and the torque steer and wheelspin is slowing me down alot in 1st and 2nd gear... how much did it cost you to have your phantom grip installed? (i'm assuming you didn't do it yourself).
