Question on Logging

Ok i have a 91awd.... Im looking to buy the Data logger cable from digital tunning (pocketlogger.com) And im trying to find out if i can use the cable with my laptop? Or do i HAVE to use a palm? Please anyhelp would be great.. thanks

My reccomendation would be to make your own cable. It will cost you about 5.00 in parts from radioshack and is usable with a PC or Palm (with a gender changer and null modem adaper). Then you can use a piece of software like MMCd (http://www.ecimulti.org/mmcd) for datalogging for free on your PC *or* Palm You'll find the freeware loggers like MMCd are actually *more* feature-filled than the commercial loggers.

However if you insist on buying the digitaltuning cable and/or pocketlogger, yes you can use it with a PC. It will also require a gender changer and a null modem adapter to be used with your PC/laptop.

If you're needing info on how to make your own cable.. I'd be happy to post it.

hey, thanks for the reply... although i know NOTHING about electronics.. so i have no idea how to make the cable.. Unless there are clear instructions infront of me... Also im not good with computers either, so i have no clue what the adapters u are talking about do. Please help!
