Ok, I am looking into getting a 91 eclipse throttle body to put in my 95 eclipse gs. I need to know if that throttle body will fit in place of mine, without changing anything else, or do I need the intake manifold, and fuel rail? If I do need that, will that fit in place of mine, or will it even work better? Please help me out.

You cannot do what you are talking about. The tb you are talkin about swapping is completely different from yours. Your stocker is a 52mm what you can do to go bigger is this.
A. Have your stocker bored to 55mm or 57mm by advanced racing dynamics (ARD)
B. Get a 60mm jeep tb that is compatible and modify it to fit your intake manifold
C. Buy a 60mm tb from Modern perfomance

I have a spare stock tb if you wanna buy it and send it to have it bored out. I have also had and sold my jeep tb because I didnt really like it. Now i am waiting on my MP tb to arrive :thumb:

well can it be done, or can't it be done? Because I thought I read on here that people with 2g's have been putting the 91-94 throttle body on their car. So please, someone who knows what they are talking about, let me know.

those are people with 2g turbo's that are putting them on. my friends bro with a 95 GS-T just put one on his. you cant put it on yours, and you cant put the 1g manifold on yours either, it wont fit. dont tell him it can be done with some modding when you dont know if it can.

Like i said, cant be done haha. Im not just trying to sell my tb. Sure he doesnt need a 60mm tb because hes n/a and 55 or 57 would be just fine but if he wants a 60 more power to him. If you do get yours done by ard have them do your intake manifold too. It's only a little more in $. But yeah the 1g 4g63 on the 2g 420a cant be done.

if you can put a northstart V8 in a mk1 mr2 you cna put a 1g TB on a 2G. its all about Effor and custom fabbing., :D

whats the point if you can get something thats the same or better thats actually made for your car?

so for me will a 60mm do better than the 57, or would there not be any change?

with your only mod being an aem cold air intake, 57. but for the money there are better gains elsewhere. you dont need a new one yet. i am more modded then you and im not even looking at one yet.

Go with an underdrive pulley as your next mod instead of the tb. Trust me you'll love it. AFX for 160 new with belts.

I think you need to think before you speak. It can be done if he has a custom intake manifold designed. Also, I don't know if the throttle position sensor is compatible or the ISC. Remember, we're talking about 2 completely different engines here. I'm sure it can be done, but is it worth a couple grand to you when you can just go get a jeep throttle body.

I think the accusation that the guy only said that because he wanted to get rid of the throttle body is why I came back with that. Also, you made it sound like a weekend project not a major conversion. I just thought it was important to clarify before somebody went out and bought a 1g throttle body for a 420a thinking it was something they could figure out in a weekend. I think this thread should be closed. There doesn't seem to be much poitn to it anymore.

in referrence to the "accusation", i was messin around. and if HE believes its an accusation, than HE can tell me about it. second of all sorry for makin it sound like a "weekend project", i didnt know its mandatory to sound like he has an engine swap to do. thirdly, like i had said, i thought it could be done, but i never said it was worth it, or even that it could be done for sure. lastly, my knowledge of the turbo model eclipses once again seems to be incompatible w/ the 420a, forgive my misunderstandin, and forgive my will for wantin to learn about ur cars

well i just won't worry about it yet. i will go with something else.
