hello quick question. i was looking at swapping the throttle body from my 98 gs to a tb from a 1g eclipse. can the tb from the 1g be from a turbo?

No, you have a 420a motor. No throttle body off of a 1g will work on your car. The only option is to either get a bored out stock throttle body or use a 60mm jeep throttle body.

You can also use a Ford throttlebody, from a Crown Vic. I think mine is 65mm. I have the details of the one I am using at home, p/n, etc. Note though, I have a custom made sheet alum intake manifold, so is not stock.

Most jeep throttle bodies are tapered to 55mm, how ever the taper happens after the throttle plate so it can easily be ported to 60mm. The 60mm are more commonly found on jeeps with an auto trans (according to what I've read online).

The Jeep 60mm will require some slight modification for maximum flow, but it's something anyone can do.

If you want a completely bolt-on affair, MPx sells a 60mm TB designed for 420a powered 2g's and Neons. I ran one on my 2g for awhile and loved it.
