Ok. Here is what is confusing me. I keep reading where people are taking a complete g4cs short block, slapping on a 4g63 head and everything else from a 4g63, and then calling it a stroker. Now my question is, how is this a stroker. To me this is just a turbo DOHC g4cs not a stroker.
The reason I am say this is because a "stroker" is when the length of the stroke has been increase. In the above situation there has been no increase in the length of the stroke. I read that the g4cs has a taller deck and therefore it has a longer stroke. But it still isn't a stroker.
Putting a g4cs crankshaft (which I have read about people doing) into a 4g63 will create a stroker. It will because now a block with the shorter deck has a crank with a longer stroke.
Am I right. And if I am wrong will someone please tell me why. Sorry if the thread is confusing.
