Question about swapping exhaust manifolds to pass smog

I picked up a 91 GSX last week. I am now in the process of making sure all the smog equipment is hooked up and getting it to look semi stock under the hood so I can attempt to pass CA smog inspection.

Mods:
-HX-35 diesel truck turbo
-DNP exhaust manifold
-4" Forced Performance turbo intake pipe
-Tial wastegate
-28"x12" FMIC
-Magnaflow 3" turbo back
-Turbonetics BOV
-rc 1000cc injectors
-DSMLINK

If I swap the DNP exhaust mani for a stocker, would the stock mani bolt up fine to my big HX-35 turbo? and, can I run without the Tial wastegate for smog inspection purposes... I don't care if I dont build boost, the smog test is only at idle and 2500 rpm.

If it were me I would just fab a heat shield that covers evrything and looks somewhat stock and you should be okay. To me it would be one of those out of sight out of mind things. If they cant see it then they probably wont even know its there.. The thing is with your setup unless the turbo has an internal gate you need the wastegate or your going to continuosly build boost till she blows. Just get some 18 gauge sheet metal and bend up a cover. I did for mine and I used the 2 outermost bolts on the manifold where it bolts to the head to hold the heatshield in place. You would be able to put the stock manifold back on if the turbo has a mitsu flange, if it's not mitsu it won't match up.
