Question about Retarding Exhaust Cam

I want to post 2 dyno charts soon. One with me dropping in 101200 cams in, then another with some degreeing to show a gain/loss. My main concern isn't really daily drivabilty, just WOT power. With the Comps already being somewhat close to stock degreeing out of the box, can I get away with just some quick retarding on the exhaust cam on the dyno to see if I can net any gains? Does adjustment to the intake cam net gains up top, or is it primarily for idle and partial throttle?

From my experience I haven't found much gains in adjusting the intake cam with a stock intake manifold. If it's a custom designed intake it is possible to adjust resonance tuning to an extent. You can sometimes gain a little by playing with the exhuast one though and I think it's definately worth playing around with on a dyno if you have a chance, but don't waste dyno time with it if your car isn't already in perfect tune.

Exactly why I asked. I don't want to waste dyno time adjusting something that isn't neccisarily going to gain me anything. Thanks for clearing that up and hopefully I can come back with some good numbers
