Ok, I am doing a maft setup right now, and i need a new intake. I am going to get one from dejon, but the only one that fits the b16g is the 2 3/4 intake. COuld I buy the 3" intake, and then buy a 3 to 2.5" or 2.75" reducer? Would be easier to change the couplers when I upgrade to a bigger turbo, instead of buying a new intake. Let me know. thanks :thumb:

I know a cheap way around this that worked extremely well for my friend.

you can go to home depot and get a rubber reducer that will fit over the three inch pipe and at the opposite end fit snugly over the turbo. it works great for him. And no there has been no problem with it melting he has ran it for like a year now. with that you can just run the three inch pipe and the reducer only costs like six dollars.

you can find it in the pvc section

do you know the reducer size? I know forced performance sells that reducer from 4 to 2.25. So should I look for one that is 3 to 2.25 or 2.5 or 2.75? thanks

Dejon usually ships a small section of hose that slips over the 14B/16G inlet so their intake pipes can fit w/o any problems. Just be sure to let them know when you order their pipe that it's for a 16G turbo.

thats the thing, they have a 2 3/4 or a 3". The actual pipe is reduced down to 2 3/4 no the coupler. just trying to see if i can buy the 3" intake and then get a reducer to mate it with the b16g

Hey what's up man. Well, i personally don't recommend the coupler reducer from home depo, becouse it won't fix period. It seems that the big part of the coupler before the section where it starts to reduce doesn't fit because of the actuator and the radiator hose.
Well this is my experience and i have the 14b, maybe for the 16g is different. Maybe some other home depos sell other kinds of reducer couplers but the ones that I tries sucked, so I had to cancel small project. Just my 2 cents that's all. :thumb:

anyone else have any info on if it will work or not. i have to order it by tonight
