Question about engine swap

I bought a 7 bolt motor with 118k miles to go into my talon. And i wanted to ask if it made sense to change the main and rod bearings before putting the engine in?

IF you are going to go that far, just rebuild the motor.

I agree. Once you pull apart the bottom end you might as well freshen up everything. It would be horrible to fire up the engine with your new bearings only to find that you have low compression and re-ringing the block out of the car would have taken maybe a days worth of time and $100.
