question about egt wiring

i have the tre egt probe and autometer gauge. I am trying to connect the two, but their is a yellow connector on the end of the probe. So my question is, what do i do with it? Should I cut it off and splice the wires together? Or is their a way im supposed to utilize the yellow piece? Any input will help

I say cut it. I don't know if this guy did, but it should be fine. Cut it.
