Your car should still run fine but you'll get a cel for egr valve. Make sure it's for a 90 and not 91-94 for that they're different.

yeah sometimes when I am driving it, the check enigine light comes on, but it only comes on when I am going like 30mph in 4th gear and I push the gas all the way in, it starts going and the cel comes on. and when I let the gas go it goes away.

There's a way to fix that but I forgot how. You can pm "steve" about it if you don't get an answer here. He's great with ecu's and had helped me in the past.

UPDATE: I replaced the damn ECU and the car works like a dream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for all the IMPUT!!!!!!!! :thumb:

In order to help I need the part number of the current ECU in the car and the code the ECU throws. You can read the code without a datalogger. I use a cheap 12v piezo buzzer for radio shack and two microclips. The positive lead goes to pin 1 on the DLC.

I hope you still have the MD128625 ECU. That is a '90 ECU, contrary to the information you received in this thread http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=160613

Steve, according to vfaq, MD128625 seems to be a 92 and up ecu. But that part of the chart is a little confusing to me, can you clarified.

You'll note that in the VFAQ chart both MD128625 and MD128623 are listed as High Line ECUs with no dates. That's because they couldn't figure out what a High Line car was.

I've deduced from CAPS that the '90 FWD Turbo cars were listed as High Line(Turbo) and '91-94 FWD Turbo cars listed as Premium Line(turbo). I show them as such on my ECU ID page. http://home.xnet.com/~steve/Auto/DSM/ECUID.html
