1G Question about Boost leak test

Do I have to block of pictured hose from the blow off valve?

Been reading about leak testing and I read that u have to attach the test to the turbo inlet and pressurize the system thru there. I took off the stock air intake and was curious about this hose.

Since this is my first time, my understanding is the air comes thru the Air filter, into the turbo, out to the intercooler then into the throttle body. Any other places I should be looking for a boost leak?

Photo's a little blurry. But if it's the hose that goes from the bov to the intake, you can leave it alone. It should just join up with the air going through the throttle body after pressure gets high enough to open bov.

You dont have to block it off, but you should. That way while your blt'ing you'll be able to tell if your bov leaks.

The hose pointed at is the return from the BOV, if you block it off how do you tell if the BOV is leaking?

Remember to make sure that you don't have any cylinders positioned so that the valves are in overlap or the air will leak past and out the exhaust.

I buy a new metal Evo 9 BOV, but that's just me. Flange, hose, clamps should still show leaks if the valves are set as you mentioned.
