So I followed the boost leak check, built my own tester and hooked it up to the end of the intake which is a freaking PITA!!! I had to take the whole thing off then attach it back to the MAF Sensor then figured how is this going to be pressurized when all the air is just gonna go right through the air filter and MAS sensor and out the other hole?? I"m really confused about this test can someone help me with it??

ok well, i just got the intake pipe and the MAS out of the way and hooked the tester to my turbo inlet, i just wanted to check if everything was in working order so i used a bicycle pump and pumped say 10 times and my mom said my gauge only moved to 1psi, so do i have to keep pumping like crazy? or should it move like instantly?

Where's mom when you need her.....It all seems rite when mama's around...

I'm a 2g guy, so I'm not familiar with the anatomy of the 1g where the IC/UICP meet. Can you get at it better from above by unbolting the fuse box and filter box and moving them out of the way? On a 2g, you can expose the entire UICP by removing those two parts.

Where is oldman when you need him?;)

I don't know but i can deff. tell it's coming from part of the pipe leading up to the UICP.

Then you have your work cut out for you.
Between your j-pipe, your LICP, your IC and your UICP to your throttle bodyyou should have no more than around 7 connections. Loosen them/remove them and tighten them up. Make sure they are all even and square and whatnot too. Then do another test and you'll likely ahve solved some of yoru leaks and will be able to easily find the remaining ones.

Sorry about that, I thought you had it under control. :)

sccrAdidas15, can you describe again in detail where this leak is? Are you still on stock turbo and pipping?

yea stock turbo and piping, the hissing is coming from the jbend that goes from the SMIC to the UICP i couldn't see exactly where the hissing was coming from b/c i couldn't see it but it was deff. coming from the jbend it seemed.

The inlet and outlet of the stock smic are known to rust away overtime, that is where I would look first. Toughen up and find the leak, if you can hear it, you can find it.
