I want to see where exactly the nitrous line should be tapped. Which intercooler pipe it's supposed to enter.

Yeah same here I have most of the stuff I need to hook the kit up but I"m gonna need a way to tap into fuel and another line for my purge to the nitrous solenoid as my kit was bought used and didn't come with either.

If you just want a basic I dea of install for a wet nitrous kit go to ZEX.com they have a step by step with general guide lines that you can use except the solenoids with a zex kit are built into the purple box.

This is where I tapped my upper IC pipe for the nitrous nozzile.

In my instruction booklet it said to tap 6" to 12" inches before the TB, and I tapped mine about 7" to 8" from the TB, and it works perfectly.

And this is where I tapped in for my fuel source, since mine is a wet kit.

You have to cut the fuel line right into so you can tee off of it. The Zex kit comes with everything that you need.

I hope this helps you guys, and or gives you some type of an idea.

My camera isn't the best in the world, so that's the best I can do for now. :thumb:

Where are you teeing off the fuel line at. I have a AFPR and I'm thinkin about going off of that some how.

Hey bro hows it going?

I'm actually teeing off of the fuel line that comes directly from the top of the fuel filter on the fire wall, and it goes to the passenger side of the fuel rail.

Theres about 8" to 10" of rubber hose between the fuel filter and fuel rail if I'm thinking correctly here, and that's where I made my cut at for the tee fitting. :)

Sounds liek a plan :thumb: Thanks for the help. I remember talkin to you a while back and you were tearing it up with the nitrous hoopefully I have the success you have been having with nitrous and boost. I have a feeling though 500whp with some of it coming by spray might be a little much for my 6 bolt with just arp studs and MLS hg but we'll see.:rocks:

No problem man, anytime! :thumb:

I would just love to be able to make 500 crank horse power. :D

yeah, thanks for the help.

I had another question though. What exactly is the difference between that Ntercooler or whatever it's called that you spray onto your intercooler and the actual nitrous kit?

The intercooler sprayer you are referring to just sprays "cold" nitrous directly on to the intercooler itself, to help lower intake charge temps, rather than spraying it directly into your intake.

Here is a link that may help answer a few questions that some of you guys may have.

thanks again. And another question. I've seen a couple of people relocate their batteries to the trunk when they install nitrous. Is this really required? I can still see your battery in it's stock location.

No... it's not really necassary, but I did have to make sure that when I tapped my hole for the nitrous nozzile, that it was clear from the battery, and anything else for that matter. :)

like the title says, i want to put the nitrous as high as I can without blowing the engine, its my DD

From what I have read, you shouldn't do more than a 35 shot on the stock block/pistons without tuning capabilities. In other words, It wouldn't be worth it.

You can do other mods for the price of a nitrous system and yield some some hp gains while remaining safe. If you still want to go bottle i'd say don't go higher than a 50 shot to be on the safe side. Use it wisely.

As much as you can throw at it until it goes "boom".

But seriously... there is no correct answer to that question. Does the car have 20 miles on the motor, or 150,000? What shape is it in? What's the compression showing across the cylinders? What turbo? How much boost?

Etc etc etc etc.

Cannot agree enough.

Start small with a 35shot and move up from there. I would not go past a 100shot and make sure you have timing control so you take timing way down. Around 16* max timing is what I would run on anything over a 50 shot.

I would agree with most here. 35-50 shot is "safe" on almost any motor obviously depending on age and condition. Anything really around 100 or more you are playing with fire. You will always find people saying "well I did it" but you don't want to be the one doing the rebuild because it didn't work :)

50 shot is safe...but you might wanna upgrade the spark plugs to NGK****7's if you plan to spray...

My car made almost 300whp on 9:1CR n/t pistons on a 14b....I wouldnt feel uneasy at all spraying a stock n/t 4G63 with a 100-125 shot. Just make sure you have the car tuned very well for what you are doing
