I took my block to the machine shop and I got it back and now there is a hole that I dont have a part for. It looks like a freeze plug hole but it is smaller and is located behind the timing cover above the oil pump on the left hand side. A pic of a block identical to mine is below. It is the big hole on the left hand side right above the oil pump. If you can shed some light as to what goes there or what is the purpose of that hole I would really appreciate it.

Number 12 in this picture? If so, it is a plug for an oil galley. The Chrysler/Mitsubishi part number is 4556018/M04556018 for the regular 5/8" plug and 4556019/M04556019 for a 0.065" oversized plug.

Yes its #12! Thanks. I guess the machine shop didnt put it back.

A good machine shop will replace these when they work on your block, they probably just forgot to put a new one in. Also you might want to remember that there is a 420a bolt tech section that you can post in even with your lurker status... not that you cant find answers here, it's just sometimes us 420a guys will forget to look past that area.

Yea I think they forgot. Thanks for the info!

Anyone know how to get the crankshaft sprocket back on?
