hey, i have a 90 Talon TSi AWD. and i am about a week from putting it all back together. Have some questions. The problem the car had is that it had a blown headgasket, head, and turbo. I got a reman turbo(14b), rebuilt head with 0 miles. and i'm not sure which gasket i want to get. i got a eprom with dsmlink already too.

i dont have HUGE plans for this car. just want it to run stable on more than 20psi. will be switchin out to a bigger turbo. not too sure which one yet. $800 budget on that after the winter is over. any suggestions on what i should do first?

it had coolant still in the pistons. what prep work should i do before putting it back together?

How many miles on the block? any rust or scarring on the cylinder walls? Can you still see some crosshatch on the cylinder walls? Did you just pull the head, or pull the engine? On a car that old, most likely time for a rebuild, unless it had very low miles.

block looks perfect. turns over manually perfect. no rust or nothing. has 149k on the odometer. i do plan on rebuilding it over the winter and prolly doin like a 2.3l stoker. but right now i just want to get it running. so what are the steps to take? like vacuum out the lines or anything?
