I am putting in an act 2600 clutch. I will be stepping the clutch to .609 on the stock flywheel. I am getting a new clutch fork and pivot ball in which the pivot ball will be shimmed. Should I use the act throw out baring or should I get the stock one, because I herd the stock one was better on these clutches is this true. Is there any thing i am missing?

Thanks

Use a plastic sleeved throwout bearing, not a metal sleeved TOB. Most recent ACT kits come with a plastic sleeve TOB now.

While your in there you should install a stainless steel braided clutch line and remove the restrictor in the slave cylinder. It's more work, but well worth it when used with the ACT 2600. VFAQ.com has details on the restrictor removal if you need it.

hmm, i bought my ACT 2100 kit a month and a half ago, and it came with a fully metal TOB. good idea to shim the pivot ball though, i wish i would have known that when i was swapping tranny's. no way i'm pulling it apart again just to shim it.

Yes, there is something missing. Why did you use "Puten" in your topic title and then use "I am putting in " in your post?

You are missing consistency and symmetry.

I absolutely hate it when people attempt to communicate with SHIT like "Puten"

Well it got your attention. But besides that do you have any thing productive to add to the question if not don't post.

OEM throw out bearing :thumb:
Exactly Shep told me just to put in the OEM tob, works fine for me but I did get one with my act not sure if it was metal or not though. Also did you buy that plastic spline line up tool? I think the clutch kits come with them now though.

Ok then sorry about the comments I made and good luck with the instal i know i love my 2600 clutch kit
