Crane 0010 420A Street Performance Camshaft

#0010 Street Performance Range Idle to 6500 RPM's Intake Duration 242@006 Lift .354 inch

see my mod list in my profile.... think i should get this?

would i get any gains worth while?

and if so...

how much would i be getting?

The majority of people who install Crane #0010s or Crower 1s will tell you they should have gone with the next step up. I think the Crowers are a better cam design and offer you more bang for your buck, but I can't attest to actual numbers as they will vary based on your other mods (ie; how well your car breathes over all from filter to muffler). I would suggest you look into the 12s or the 2s. I'll be running Crower 3s here in this summer, so watch out...

Personally I would go with #12's. You probably still wouldn't need to upgrade the valvetrain, and you could get a bit more power.

You could find all the Crane cams for the 420A at Howell Automotive. Just throw that in Google if you don't already have them in your favorites. If you want teh Crowers, I can highly recommend Exile Racing Technologies. I've done business with them and they are pretty much building my entire head this summer. Great guys who know what they are doing imo.

Oh and, you might get away with running the 12s or 2s without springs etc, but do you want to do it right or just "get by" with something?

do it right...

so i should stay with the 10''s?

When I say do it right, I mean that if you decide to go with any cam above a stage 1 (Crane 0010), you should get the springs, retainers, lifters and lash adjusters so you don't regret it later. If you want to throw the 10s in there (as in you already have them) I don't see why you would have any problems. It's just that the next step up puts a serious strain on your valve train and you need to beef it up a bit.
