Ok so last weekend i did some maintance on the car.

O2 sensor
Oil Change
Valve cover gasket
Plugs and wires
Master and slave cylinder

I didnt drive it a lot until today and it drove fine for 20 minutes. Then it was like the RPMs would go up when i gave it gas but it barely went anywhere. I looked under the hood and the radiator hose was very swollen and very hot. So i assumed it was a T-Stat and i did that just recently and its still doing the samething after awhile.

Please i need ideas on what it could be.

Thanks in advance
Mychel

Ok so a little update.

It does seem to be a slipping clutch. I had it towed to a tranny shop and they said the bracket on the clutch pedal was bent. The master cylinder line was kinked ( if thats how you spell it LOL ). And the slave cylinder rod wasnt installed correctly. The fixed all that but it still seems to happen. Was it fixed too late and permently damaged the clutch?

I had a friend who works at a Nissian dealership do the work on the side. Should i tell him i feel he should have to buy the new clutch or no? Kinda have the parents yelling at me for this shit.

It now needs to be bled properly. Since there is going to be more travel in the pedal at this point, go through the complete bleeding process. Be sure to press the slave cylinder IN until it bottoms out after you open the bleeder screen and have it fully depressed until you close the bleeder screw. Once you close the bleeder screw, release the slave cylinder and pump the clutch.

Do this about 3 times and check the clutch disengagement.

They did this already. Clutch pedal feels good. Comes right up after a shift. Car runs good till hot again and starts to slip. Feels REAL good at first when cool. After that slips and have to pull over and let it cool till i can try to drive again. When it slips the smell is horrible.

You may have glazed the hell out of that clutch disk. Drive it a tid bit more, nice and easy, see if you can POSSIBLY break it back in. However, I'd start looking into a new clutch. All of the abuse that thing has seen since the beginning of your issue may have toasted it. If you're going to be replacing it, may as well upgrade it, ya know?

Well thats the thing. The kid i bought it off of SAID it had a Stage II clutch. Which the trans does look like it was taking apart recently BUT as of right now im paying for housing and cant work for another month WHICH is why my parents want me to tell me friend who messed up the install to at least buy the clutch because the trans shop that will put in a new clutch, pressure plate and flywheel would be $650. Or maybe it was $650 for the clutch i dont recall right now

It's likely for the labor. Clutches aren't that expensive unless you're going for a higher end one. You can do the labor yourself if you have the patience and tools. It's not that hard at all, just a bit tedious.

Ok. Um update..

I have been driving the car the past few days but REALLY REALLY taking it easy. Today (four days later) about 200 miles of taking it easy i decided to punch it. Clutch grabbed real hard and FULL BOOST. Did it again and no problems what so ever. I plan on taking it easy for a little longer try a boost test and go from there.

I wanna thank everyone who has helped me so far. Im not 100% there is no clutch problem but i at least feel a little better about it.
