Ive been using the search but havnt found exactly what I was wondering about. Ive been thinking about installing a push button start in my 1g. No, not the kind that requires a key in the ignition to be turned and then a button to be pushed because that would render the button useless. Im looking to install a button that would do what the new vehicles with buttons do. One push for accessory on and second push for engine start. I found some kits online but they are in the few hundred dollar range. I already have a n after market alarm on the vehicle so I figured that would serve as my door lock and unlock then once you entered the car just push the button. Does anyone have any knowledge of the materials I would need and the way to wire in the button so it works in stages? Thanks for the help.

How good are you with wireing? A button, toggle switch, and a relay or other device might get it... You have a 93?
