Hello, I have a 95 Talon TSI. The Car is mostly stock. I am thinking of buying a Punishment FMIC. Has anyone tried to install one, and if so did you have any issues with it? I haven't installed a FMIC before, I just want to know what to expect. Any help, or feedback would be much appreciated.

Thanks

It's NOT a T25. And as for a stock SMIC being more than enough for a T25, I have 1st hand experience that says otherwise. Heat soak isn't your friend.

I wouldn't venture to guess. The T25 faces down, but turns towards the passenger side before the coupler. The 14b, 16g both face up and are bolted to another pipe.

I'd definitely look at getting a bigger intake though. The size difference between the intake and the turbo inlet is scary!

That's not the intercoolers fault, the T 25 blows nothing but hot air all the time, poor little side mount never stood a chance at the powerful hairdryer LOL :p

As for intake, what's the size of the inlet? That coupler almost looks as tho it goes from 2.5" ish to 3. If its 3" or bigger or you plan on getting a bigger turbo I would go with the FP.

I used a circular saw to cut into my bumper support took a while, and a sawzall to cut into the frame for the short route piping on my 1g, turned out great.

:hellyeah: I got my PR FMIC installed 2 weeks ago. It went on a pretty much stock t25 turbo with bull exhaust and intake. I will tell you this, you will feel more power. I started getting overboost but i got it fixed with a boost leak test and by removing my boost controler. I did have to cut a pipe to make it fit right. The bumper fit tight. Had to cut a little on the driver side hole next to the fog light. Other than that, it runs better.

i also used both a circular saw and a circular saw. A dremel helps too

I just got my kit, everything was pretty much straight forward. The only problem i had is that I am auto so i did have some issues with the pipe that wraps around from the bov pipe to the side of the ic.

I just got my kit the other day. Something just doesn't seem right to me. My BOV is mounted so low and close to recirculation port of the intake that it is nearly impossible to get some kind of tube on there to recirculate it. Anybody had this kind of issue and what did you do to fix it?

Go to Autozone and get a radiator hose that has roughly the same bends and trim to fit. That's what I did when I had a PR FMIC kit.

Here are some pics.

It just looks like the bov flange was mounted to low on the pipe.

Did you look at the pics?
If you find a radiator hose that fits that, I will call you sir.
That is the first thing I did. Went to Oreillys, Autozone and Napa and didn't find anything that I could manipulate to work.

You could possibly just turn the bov 180deg around and use a longer hose to attach it if it's truly a manufacturing error. Did you try to push the metal pipe more into the top silicone hose as opposed to the bottom one that connects to the intercooler? You can also rotate the intake pipe towards the front of the car which will bring the bov recirculation fitting farther from the bov (lifts it up).

That's what I was going to do but just wanted to see if anybody else had came across this before I just flipped the BOV around. Yea, While installing, I tried to mash those to pipes as close as I could get them inside that coupler thinking that would fix it, But it didn't do me all that good.

damn, yea your going to have to flip that 180 or do some cutting and welding to back it further towards TB. bummer. i have a very similiar setup, kind of worries me. my PR kit should be here in a week or so. gues ill find out then..

Hey guys I ordered my PR kit about a week ago. I've been researching the whole fitment thing but no one really says how long it takes.
Whats the ET on the install?

Take your FP intake pipe and rotate it clockwise (looking from the filter side) to about the 2 O'clock position. That will give you a little more clearance to use it. Your problem may be that the FP intake is much larger than your general eGay intake pipe so it's setting it back farther.

Oh and for any of you not planning on using your PR BOV shoot me a PM, I may be interested in purchasing multiple of them.

I rotated it while I was doing the install and it still wasn't enough. Thanks for the opinions but after thinking about it I decided to take everything back off ( Fmic/piping, radiator/hoses, Intake, Turbo, exhaust manifold and entire exhaust because I am going a different route. Going to have a few things up for sale soon :)

Thanks, Jayson
