Paradise,
I have a weird pulsating occuring in the break pedal at random intervals (or seems random).. can't get it reproduce... it just happens... only happend when I'm near stop or starting to move... the break pedal feels as if ABS has kicked in... but I don't think I have ABS or at least NOT enabled/working.... anyone have any ideas.... I do have fuse in the ABS slot... but can't find anything.

ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS what the HELL is causing the pulsating?.... were would I look for an ABS system on the 97 talon tsi awd?....

HELP... ... it will be appreciated.

First things first: Pull that fuse out and see if it's OK.

car runs normally 95% of the time.... there is not chatter/pulsation in the breaking... but all of a sudden when I'm doing, like 5km/hr, and breaking... I get this loud grinding noise... and the break pedal starts going haywire... chattering/pulsating... feels like ABS kicked in or something... but I can fly down the road... slam the breaks.. and she locks solid.....

and... thanks for the replys... any suggestions or ideas are appreciated... I'll try pulling the fuse now on my way home from work...

If youare hearing a gridnign noise I would take the wheels off and inspect all the brake hardware. You may have a problem there. I have even seen things get picked up while driving that made the car and brakes do wierd shit.

It sounds like your ABS isn't functioning right; is there a light lit up on your dash somewhere? I know it's a silly question, but sometimes people just miss these things OMG

Break fluid levels are ok... fuse looks ok (will replace it and see). Question in regards to the fuse... why would I have a fuse for ABS if I don't have ABS breaks? Is that possible? I don't see a light on the dash for ABS... I did look ;) .... I will take off the wheels this weekend and have a look. Is there any other way to tell if I ABS on this car?... really don't care if ABS doesn't work... I don't like it anyway... but if its not ABS system crapping out... or crapped out... then I'm concerned it might do this at the WRONG time.
