puddles of coolant forming under car

so, my car has been leaking coolant. it has been pooling under the front drivers side, and i checked under the car and i see drops forming on the bottom of timing cover. is the water pump bad? would this be a suitable replacement ?ITM Water Pump for 6 Bolt DSM (Includes Gaskets) - Modern Automotive Performance

They sell kits with the water pump, timing belt, and a few other odds and ends. You might as well replace everything while you're in there, it's the perfect time to. The same exact thing happened with mine.

I agree as long as the t belt hasn't already been replaced recently.

How new is fairly new? Sounds like you should have replaced the water pump while you were in there.

before i bought the car it had the head done. and didnt run, that was 4000 miles ago

is there proof of that? Receipts for parts or labor done? If not it didn't happen and you should do a timing job just to be on the safe side. Hell, I would reguardless, but I'm picky like that.

Ah, yeah then just replace it to be safe. I know you dont want that to fail on you and have to replace your head already. Just my .02

Belt may be good tensioner, pulleys those been checked.

yes, i have an elantra with a 1.8 dohc 4g im swapping it to the 4g63t after i pick up some more parts
