Found this turbo when looking around on Extremepsi's website the other day. It's manufactured by Precision Turbo. Just wondering if anyone has any info on this turbo or if they're using it on there street car. I just sold my scm6152e and am looking to get another PTE turbo. This one (scm6176r) is a bolt on just like the 6152e was. It goes for around 1300 with the install kit and the SP ported shroud. It's basically a gt35r that bolts onto the mitsu exh. and o2 housings from what I gather.

, I just think there are much more efficient turbo's available now for similar prices. If your gonna drop $1200 on a turbo setup you might as well spend an extra few hundred dollars and get a good manifold and the most efficient/best all-around turbo you can buy. My comments on the 61 are based on it's spool and response not the potential power it can produce. I know this turbo will make great power with the right tune, but I have driven a 3065 car and ridden in a car with a ts 40r and the difference in how much fun the 3065 car was to drive due to partial throttle response and low boost power was night and day compared to my car. Also the power and street manners of the bb ts 4088 on a stroker is just sick. Regardless, I don't think anyone can argue that a t3 or t4 manifold (divided or not) with a ts gt30r, HTA 35R, bb PTE6776 or a ts bb gt40r turbo will outperform the old mitsu exhaust mani and mitsu turbine housing turbos in peak power, spool, transient response, and part throttle performance any day of the week. The only advantage of using a mitsu hotside is cost.
