I know that but the car should spool it the guys at stm chose it and the set up to run will it spool on the stock head and block tune will b on an AEM with fic blue inj 21 to b exact even got a punishment exhaust mani with tial waste gate dump.tube all the feed and return lines just need to know if the stock engine and head will spool it at about 8 ponds

You didnt give any info about your car for us to really answer that. First and foremost a 6266 is not direct replacement for stock so at the bare minimum just to bolt this turbo on your car you would need a new exhaust manifold, new o2 housing, external wastegate, larger intake pipe, and new cold side intercooler pipe assuming your car is tsock or has just basic mods. Then to use the turbo at above stock boost levels you need fuel, tuning, and intercooler upgrades. You def need to either research a lot or tell what your car already has upgraded on it.

Yes a stock motor will spool it, however its a 700hp turbo. Not something you would buy to run 8psi. depending on your setup its going to spool between 4800-5500rpm. What are your goals for this car?

If you do your research and upgrade everything at once, i see no reason not to go balls out on the first build. Who says "i want to spend 1100 on a smaller turbo now, then later when im a big boy ill spend another 2k on a bigger turbo"???. If you have the money and dont cheap out on everything, go for it. IF your goal is 600+ whp, that is. You may be more happy with a car at 350, especially if its a regularly driven car. Mine is a weekender(at best) so everyone has different needs.

ps: dont buy "small injectors, then upgrade later". Thats another really dumb thing i hear every once in a while. If you have or will have access to e85, get 2150s. Dont waste money on anything else, they idle like stock and can get you to stupid whp numbers if you ever want to(and you will).

I went from nothing, stock t25 for ~300 miles, to a 5858. I wish i could do it over. Thats my opinion, just plan for your future goals NOW, so you buy the appropriate hardware and do the appropriate machining.

By the way you post i think that you need about another 2 months of research before you buy anything. My opinion. Sorry for the rant, the weather is ###ing insane im gettin stir crazy! ha

Boost97 has got the idea it's for future mods bout 500 hp I just want the car to run now so I can make sure the previous issue aka blown stock turbo. Aka oil everywhere thus the reason for the rebuild. Bolt ons include punisment racing dsm hot parts kit $1400 exhaust manifold o2 housing dump tube, tile wastegate 38mm mvs , PTE 6266 turbo, JMF oil catchcan, and the oldest ecu system known to man the pms. That is All the current mods to the car with 500cc injectors. Future mods Include AEM ecu, fic blue max injectors 2150cc, AEM cam gears, kelford cams, tile BOV, ets intercooler, the problem now is I need the car to run. I can get it to start but it will only run for a min or two. It starts easier with throttle body hose off but runs better when I put it back on but of course than it dies. So the ultimate question is will the car start and run with that turbo on it with a low boost I only need about 8 psi. The tune on the old ecu is unimportant cause it will be change and it is a piggyback system. There is no clunking sounds, no metal hitting metal sounds.

I'm not trying to upset anybody. I'm not exactly a newbie but I'm not a pro I'm just there in the middle. I want scientific answers. I just need to know if that engine will spool that turbo. Than we can get all in to what my car mods are and what I plan on doing. And as far as looking at other builds I have and they all lead me to the direction I'm heading in. The car car has been around so long that they have been built till the gills. This is my first dsm I have had built other cars never a 4 cylinder.

Both. Cause if the 6266 is to big then my car won't run.but if it isn't to big than im not waiting my time. And I'll just let it keep sitting while I get all my parts. Honestly it has already been sitting for 9 Months and I just miss it.

Seeing threads like this gets old. Do your research instead of posting vague questions that no one can truly answer. I know its against the rules to tell people to search but this is just ridiculous. There are a plethora of threads that will answer every question you have asked with great detail.

Haha the efi systems pms. Ditch that thing. I used to have one in my rx7 a long time ago. They suck. So you have the binder of tune sheets to go with it?

I'm serious though buy dsmlink or aem before trying to set up the car on that. I guess in reality it does its job but I'd rather pull my own teeth out than use that handheld.

So now the question is "will the stock bottom end spool the turbo?". I THINK thats what your asking. Yes, it will "spool" just about any turbo you can physically bolt on to it. 8psi will take a nice big wastegate to hold it that low. Now thats a guess, a 38mm might do it, but i see creep being an issue with such a large turbo held to 8psi if you head north of 6500rpm. So to answer in short: Yes, the stock block will "spool" the 6266 just fine. As long as you are familiar with the term "turbo lag" then you know what to expect. Its not gonna act like a 14b and be frisky at 3k rpm or lower, it takes time to hit on a big turbo.

Thank you semus and LOL yea I do so that's prob the issue then not the turbo see I didn't have to research stm picked it but then the whole runnin problem but it's cool old cars have old questions but now were gettin somewhere the pms is causing my problem not my turbo you the man

Yea the lag I'll deal with it's just my brother in law made me second guess ex specially after the trouble of it not starting with the turbo run to throttle body that made it worse unhook the hose started and ran then he chimed in there not enough exhaust pressure to spool it so I came to u guys to a bit but boost and semus givin me some ideas and I can't wait to say ## dumb to my bro in law who runs a 4cylinder turbo stang

I didn't say your car isn't running because of the pms. It piggybacks off the stock ecu so it should start and run fine. I'm just saying tht I wouldn't try to tune a 600hp turo setup for it. It's just horrible. The only thing it did well was have duty cycle based boost control before anything remotely affordable that I am aware of.

Well it doesn't start up and run fine . And my brother in law says it has to do with the car not having enough exhaust pressure to spool the turbo. Which I think is nuts but this is why I ask you guys.

The 6266 is T3? No matter, even the biggest exhaust housing they offer would still make boost. Lmfao at your brother, sorry, but you HAVE to tell him hes a dipshit for this one. Hes your bro afterall, gotta rub it in.

I could see bolting on a stock t6 framed hx52 and worrying about a 2L not spooling it. A T3 PTE? No problems at all. Look up a member on here in the dyno challenge, username Keltalon. Look at his set up and horsepower. Then show your brother LOL.

If your future goals are only 500hp a 6266 is still overkill. You will have more fun with a smaller turbo. I'm not exactly sure what pte's equivalent to a 30r sized turbo is but that would be a better choice for your power goals unless you want the 500hp on pump gas. If you want it to be on pump gas then a 6266 will be ok.

It will be on pump gas hard to find e85 around here. That's why I picked it.
Boosted97gst I knew it would spool it. So it's got to be a different issue.
Feel another thread coming on.

If it's any consolation i just purchased a 3794HTA (6766) and i expect it to make full spool by 5500rpm, according to devins results 30psi by 5800 with big kelford 280's doubt that would be fun on a daily. And you do know these arent 500hp turbos but more like 750-800hp. I think you should habe STM do the work.

I'm goin to I've already considered them doin all the tuning and motor work and it's max is supposed to be 735 I just want it on tap if ever the need arises 500 on pump should only be a mild change with the tune and setup I'm runnin my problem started when I asked horse power addicts to suggest my parts and build junkies horse power junkies right now I just want it to fire and run and I must say the pre6266 is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen now to make it spool

I chose the pte 6266 because that's what they suggested and every one said it was awsome lots of people are running the turbo money isn't an issue either I've saved for every penny I'm thinking dsm link also but I wonder if I should just stick with my first choice since I want stm to do the tune
