Problems with rebuild!!!!

I just rebuilt my 4g63t and im having some issues. When I start the car it idles rough at 500 rpms then eventually dies. I have checked the timing many times and its perfect. Everything on the motor is brand new besides the throttle body and 02 sensors. What sensors could cause it to run like this? Or is there another reason why. Could not having the egr hooked up be the problem too?

Even when I give it gas it takes a second or two to rev up.

Have you checked to see if you have any boost leaks?? My car had a similiar issue. Turned out to be 4 boost leaks 3 at the TB and 1 at the EGR. I would maybe start there. Is everything plugged in correctly? MAF is plugged too??

Yeah I have the maf plugged in but I tried to eliminate the egr valve and solenoid. How do you check for boost leaks?

Adjust your BISS screw on the throttle body to raise the idle.

If he didn't mess with the with the BISS screw in the first place it shouldn't need to be adjusted. A boost leak qould cause idle issues and throttle issues.

Try that Link to build a boost leak tester. Also you need a compressor to do it makes it much easier.

Make sure all your vacuum lines are connected, and you don't have a leak. Disconnecting the EGR wont hurt anything, as long as you plugged the lines on the TB.

Also a bad temp sensor can cause problems when the car is cold.

If all sensors are new excluding what's associated with the Throttle Body, I would suspect the ISC may contributing to your problem. Also where is your fuel pressure at? Any datalogs?
