Since I purchased my 97 GSX about 9 months ago, I have been trying to uncover certain quirks and unknown modifications done by the previous owner. I found some dangling wires and came across the 2G electrical engine bay thread. I discovered that it was for the knock sensor. In DSMLink when the car hits about 7 PSI which is the max due to a boost leak or other problem (AEM WB reads 10, and then car starts to sputter), I get a knock of 3.2 degrees. It is always at 0 or 3.2 so I'm sure that it not being plugged would be a cause of this. Would it cause the car to run poorly or just not allow me to monitor knock in DSMLink? Also, is there any reason I should not connect it back?

~7 psi is not unheard of for stock wastegate boost allowance, and a stock tune will peg a wideband all the way to rich... Don't rule out a boost leak, though.

I am running a Greddy 18G with an externally gated Tial 44. I have tuned my 660cc injectors with DSMLink V2. When the front O2 is cycling the car runs stoich but at 50% or more throttle it runs 10 and the car sputters, I'm guessing due to lack of boost to mix with the 660's.

Would this cause my 7PSI max boost problem and my WB to show full rich?

Doubtful. The 7psi max boost would be from the boost leak you think you have. I dont see a manual boost controller in your mods list so I don't know how you would raise the boost anyway. Did you adjust for the larger injectors you installed? That would definitely cause you to run super rich like that without accounting for the larger injectors. Also, as ramsack mentioned, the ECU will go into limp mode and run rich to be safer and avoid knock. The stumbling could be a result of that. Does it throw any CEL's? I think default setting in DSMLink will throw a code for 5* timing retarded due to knock. Either way, reconnect the knock sensor.

edit: I'm too slow.

It sounds like it's just knock from running really rich, probably from a boost leak, or not being tuned right. Get everything sealed up, get everything electric within specs., and then get it tuned.

Like I mentioned in my previous post, I dialed in the 660cc injectors with DSMLink. Do you have to have a boost controller to raise boost? The stock BCS is not hooked up and I was under the assumption that the turbo would make as much PSI as the Tial 44 would allow, within the limits of the turbo of course.
