So I don't know where else to post this and feel like I am missing something like a noob. The car has a new 2.3l JAM stroker that only has some idle time on it. My mods list is up to date. The car starts and will idle no problem, once i try to rev the engine it sounds like its backfiring and will only sometimes go above 2k rpm, it smells as if it running rich. The current tune on the car is from my 2.0l that had the same injectors and turbo on it. I have boost leak tested and at the intercooler it took 5 min to go 20psi to 10psi and at the turbo it took over a min to drop bellow 5 psi from 20psi (the j-pipe leaks a little). The injectors were cleaned and inspected 1000 miles before rebuild and were kept in a sealed bag while the engine was built. I have 42psi of fuel pressure, the timing is still dead on (I degreed the cams). I properly set the throttle body position sensor today, and swapped my old 2g tb that was on the engine before to use a known good one. I am running out of ideas of things to check.

Something that i noticed before i came up is cylinder 1 & 4 spark plugs look new still and cylinder 2 & 3 look black. I am including a pic of the spark plugs, the 2gb cas location and a video of the car idleing. Thanks for the help

Sounds like it has a vacuum leak. Spray carb cleaner around where gaskets are and if idle speed changes, you found a leak. Repeat this until all leaks are fixed. If you used a paper intake gasket it is likely there.

Thank for the suggestion, but it ended up being the cam was holding open the valves. The vacuum leak would have shown its self when i did the boost leak test. Also some metal got into the top of the pistons and destroyed the rings.
