Problem with a 95 rs stick wont start

my buddy has got a 95 rs 5speed stock. And it starts and the engine fires but soon as it starts the engine kills...kinda like theres no fuel getting to the engine. Not sure what it is? Couldnt be the plugs or wires cuase the engine fires right? or is it something with fuel....help please hes got to go back to school in 4 days.

The car turns over, but does not start? Have you tested for spark or fuel?

the car starts then cant hold the idle and dies. like if i give it alot of throttle it will run but soon as i let off the gas it cuts out
