Just wanted to see if anyone else have had this problem, at times when i shift into 4th gear , it pops out, just wondering if anyone has had this problem and if there are any easy fixes or anything.

ok I take it you never took any high school auot class or something. But anyway The reason half the time is your clutch is bad. Just go and buy a clutch kit for it. Other reasons are a gear is slipping out probably cause of the syncro in your tranny. You probably need to take it to a shop for that but whatever you want to do. I'm quit positive it is a gear/syncro is warrying out.

I have the same problem and mines got to the point I cant go into 4th gear anymore, if I do you hear grinding noises. Im buying a whole rebuild kit from autozone for about $714 bucks, but if anyone can help me a better deal i would appreciate it.

Thanks guys, I bought a syncro set for like $89 from cobra transmissions. 1-5 and reverse (1-2 carbon lined) Before i install them I came up with the idea to just buy a performance flywheel, clutch kit, and short shifter. Then will put everything in all at once, but thats after the holidays. All i can say is tax return is almost here and i my car has goodies coming real soon.. :)

Please attach a link to the parts purchased. To the best of my knowledge, I have never seen carbon lined synchros for our application. As well, a 4th gear popout issue also potentially entails a worn out hub and slider assembly, worn 4th gear, worn 3rd/4th shift fork and shaft bearings.

Since im putting in new synros real soon, can someone tell me what seals i need to when I install the transmission back on. I believe its just input and output shaft seals, but I feel as if its more to it than that. Please help!!
