I have a 95 GST and its my first Turbo car...So bear with me because I dont know too much about them. My car seems to be running too rich, I can sometimes smell gas and when cruising at a constant speed. Usually above 60mph, my car starts spuddering like its flooding itself. My specs are 1g 4g63 engine. 272 cams. 550 injectors. EVO Pistons. Small 16g Turbo with HKS Atmospheric BOV. I have no tuning programs although I am buying an SAFC 2 next weekend. The car has never been tuned and it also still has the stock fuel pump which I think I need to upgrade soon because of the stress from the larger injectors. Sooo what I need to know is how to I go about leaning out my car to the proper ratios that it should be because I can tell a huge loss of power.

You are going to need some thing to tune with to help.the injectors are flowing to much.get a bigger fuel pump.also u need to stop venting the bov.all of that is making u run rich.hope that helps.

Do not drive it untill you get a tunning device, drain the oil pronto. It is probably diluted with gas which will ruin your bearings. It will hydrloock. Recirculate the bov. You can't lean it out enough until you get a tunning device. Make sure you don't have ecmlink though already. Only an idiot would set that car up that way without a way of tunning.

I know that my ECU hasnt been socketed yet so I dunno about ecmlink. I know absolutely nothing about tuning my car but I will park it, I guess its a good thing that I have another stock eclipse..too bad it has a 420A :-(

all 95 ecu is eprom, if I'm not mistaken. Go pull the dipstick, check for the pressence of gas on the dipstick, it will be thin and of course have a gas smell to it. A buddy of mine had the similar symptoms and wouldn't listen, weeks later, the engine hydrolocked, we drained a gallon of gas from the crankcase. If you're going to run a safc, you'll need some type of logging device to see whta the changes you make with the safc does to your engine. You want to avoid knock. You'll need to upgrade the fuel pump.

Don't forget you will need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator when going with a larger fuel pump.
