Okay, I have tokico 5 way adjustables. Ive had them for a while and I just put eibach sportlines on them. Now the problem. The pass. side front sits 1 1/2 inches higher than the drivers side front. So, I switch the front springs left to right and right to left to see if one of the springs was made wrong, Pass. front still sitting higher. Any ideas?

Make sure the spring is seated in the seat properly. Also, did you notice if the struts would compress fully without binding up. Also, you want to make sure you tighten the lower wishbone bolts after the car is sitting on the ground, or at least with the suspension loaded (by jacking car up by lower control arms) Tightening then while suspension is hanging can cause the bushings to be preloaded (acting like a torsion bar, spring) which can hold the car up somewhat.

The stock bushings tend to bind up and they can cause different ride heights on each corner. When you had the shocks out did the suspension arms move up and down freely?

Are you sure you have the correct springs in the car? front and rear springs have different spring rate values, this could cause rideheight issues.

Also you do realize that the DSM cars are not 50/50 left right balanced. The drivers side is heavier then pass side due to the engine/trans position. I do not remember the exact numbers but it was close to 65/35 balance, was a dsmtalk post about it 2-3 years ago.

My pass side is about 1/2" higher then the drivers side, it isn't very noticeable unless you pull out the tape measure.

In order for a DSM of any year to have a 65/35 L/R weight distribution the driver would have to be Baby Huey and the passenger would have to be Mini Mouse.

The actual difference is around 100# or so (dry and empty).

With all that said, most 2G sit lower on the driver's side. Maybe half an inch or so.

As to the bushings binding: you don't touch any of the control arms to swap springs on a 2G. It's double-wishbone all around. So if the problem didn't exist before, it isn't the bushings.

Thanks for the replies. After driving it for a while, the pass. side settled down and the two sides are a little under 1/2 inch of each other now.
thanks
