ok i was bleeding my clutch and the linkage between the slave cylinder and the clutch linkage came off all it is is a metal rod with a rubber nipple thing over it. It wont stay in where it should. Does anyone have any idea what i should do.

That's the push rod and rubber boost. How did it fall off? What's stopping you from putting it back? Is it too short?

Relax, there isn't anything holding the pushrod in besides pressure and the little rubber boot around it. All you need to do is put it back in place and reseat the boot around the slave cylinder. Of course, if your boot is worn out it won't stay. You may wish to purchase a slave cylinder rebuild kit. It'll have a new boot and a plunger for the inside. Peace of cake to do and I think it coss a whipping $8 from Autozone.

Thats what it should look like.
