Eh... personally im in love with the 2g looks, i think the 1gs just look too old, but at heart, its performance that counts. You really need to decide what you are looking for, if its looks, then you are probably more inclined towards the 2g (probably, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and for you 1g guys that love the way 1gs look i guess you lucked out because you got the best of both worlds), but its not that hard to make up the performance, and yeah, if you are all about performance, then you really should probably go for a 1g. I would go for the 2gs, i think they are fast and look great, just going to be spending a bit more on performance accessories, but i think you will be picking up A LOT more girls with 2gs, but then again, win more races with 1gs? pick your poison, haha.

wow, what a *unique* idea... if a car looks good.. then its a crutch.. even if its fast.. interesting.

looks can never be objective. its a weaker defense to use than performance..which is objective.

1g looks or performance are not lacking in any aspect. i agree with dave, performance is always objective; it all comes down to whose fastest. if you lose you lose doesnt matter how good you look losing. everyone hates losing and it pisses them off, if you say it doesnt your lying. im still pissed about my last loss and that was months ago. losing makes you lose sleep at night and makes you want to make your car faster not look better.

for the money it costs to buy a 2g and make it run 13's you could have a 10 sec 1g. case in point my good friend WOBBLE has a 2g spyder with 16g, fmic, 550's, 1g head as his big upgrades and he pulled a 14.3 this weekend. he has over 5k in other mods on the car. thats around $18,000 car & mods in all. imagine the possiblities with a 1g. makes me sick just thinkin what i could do.

still rooting for your 13 sec conquest jason,
keep on tryin you'll get there. someday :p

hehe, yea, with all my mods i still managed to overlook a BOV leak and screw up both my launches.. 14.3 @ 105 LOL, im a retard.

HAHAHAHA!

i need to break down and get a type-s this damn crushed 1g is too problematic.. that one in Javier's room keeps taunting me.. gotta get shocks first though:cry:

Im not to bumbed about not getting in the 13s, i know the car can do it, if i would have banged it up to 6 grand and dumped it it would probably have bit and took off great, but i couldent make myself do it.

trying to post a pic, bare with me.. finally got around to taking a pic.

It's a matter of opinion of which one to pic really, but here are some quick facts:

1gs: Weigh less, have bigger and more potential turbos, better flowing heads(i think..), most have 6 bolt motors(less chance of crank walk), older, usualy not in as good condition

2gs: More hp, more weight, usualy in better condition and less mileage, newer, more "street" appeal, convertable aviable.

it depends i love my 2G its one the sexiest car i have ever seen. it has great power and great handling. If you want to build 9 or 10 sec 1/4 monster 1G all the way BUT if you just want an 11 or 12 with style go with a 2G
