Does any one suppose it is possible or will it help me to remove my turbo oil feed line( which is connected to the filter housing) and fill it with oil to help prime the oil pump. The car has been sitting for a while( 2months). I am going to pull the mpi fuse but was wondering if by pusing oil through the feed line if it would get into the pump and help. Thanks for the help from everyone. Travis

If you're worried about it, you can try turning the crank by hand with a rachet and extension. This will get the oil pump turning, but MPI fuse is a good idea as well. And a tad easier.

You probably won't be able to spin the assembly fast enough by hand to get oil moving.

Crank it a bit before starting if you think you need to. Or, just start it. There will still be oil in the bearing, and it gets supplied so quickly as to not be an issue. Two months is nothing in mechanical time.

Hey Travis, remember how long my car sat? About 3 months... All I did was crank it over and let it start (of course I had poured oil all over the head first). Since I had no fuel pressure, it took a bit of cranking before it started anyway. :thumb:

Like Defiant said, 2 months is nothing in mechanical time :rocks:
