2G Pressure plate, Throw out bearing, or clutch problem?

I just got this gsx not to long ago and ive got it running from doing a little work to it here and there. But now im at my last stage of completing the project mechanically. I dont know what the problem Is but the po said its a stage3 clutch, I have to press the clutch pedal so hard its crazy. It engages till its to the floor, ive tried adjusting the master rod but nothing feels right because when it starts to engage its so damn hard to press.. The clutch fork has some play also. What could cauae this? Im going to be dropping the trans in a few days to change the flywheel and replace whatevers needed. Help guide me in the right direction! Thanks im advance.

Hmm could be a bunch of different things, wouldnt know untill I take it apart.

I had a broken clutch fork.
The difficult part in buying a used car that hat been modified is that you have to shake-out the po mistakes or woops'es and/or "this will fit/work." If you need a clutch master cylinder I have one.

I just put a new master in yesterday, what kind of clutch you got? I most likely be needing it after I drop this trans. & yea there were a lot of mistakes the po made, but Ive made most right so far.

My issue is the clutch fork. It sits too far to the passenger side and has some play in it too. If the po really put a stage 3 clutch in it and was driving it hard then the fork is probably your issue. Shimming it is a temporary fix, or you can buy a new one. I don't think there should be play in it

While you are in there get an OEM TOB, Pivot ball and clutch fork.

So if I replace the tob, pivot ball, and clutch fork the clutch pedal engagement will be easier to press?

Should be easier, as everything will be lined up with no binding.
Either that or you just have no leg muscles

Also make sure the clutch disk is aligned properly.
