Ok, I have a friend of mine that has a eprom burner. He was going to make a chip, and for some reason he wanted me to try and find out the deadtime on my Precision 880cc injectors. Any help would be greatly appreicated. Thanks

I have pte 880's and always read that a good starting point is 330. but, for my set up i found it to be best at 510. it's something you really have to figure out for your self with your set up.

They all stated good starting points. Remember only way to get it perfect is to log trims and get them perfect. Thats the only thing I hate about burning chips is you cant make adjustments while driving.

Zero would be stock settings for stock injectors. He cant leave that the same. He needs to start at around 345. Then use global to get fuel trims real close. If they are within 5% than dead time is good. If he cant get them close than the deadtime is off and needs adjusted.

If you leave the deadtimes at the stock settings, you'll most likely end up having the injector compensation size way off to get the trims somewhat decent (you'll set them too small to get it rich enough). You basically need to use injector size to get WOT AFR's correct, and deadtime to get low throttle AFR's / fuel trims correct. Adding deadtime richens lower pulsewidths but doesn't effect high pulsewidths that much; the lower the pulsewidth, the more the deadtime setting effects it. If your injector size & deadtimes and MAF compensations are all right, your real AFR's match the AFR table pretty close.
