First thing I would do is apply power like stated above.. If it does not work.. Your motor is bad.. If it does go up thats good.. then i would use a test light with connector connected and check to see if you have power at the switch.. If you have power going to the switch and the motor is good.. IMO i would think its the main Switch... Hope it helps

Yea, that's what I'm being told to do, but I don't know how and to be honest i'm scared to touch electrical stuff haha. I've swapped engines, tranny's, clutches, brake lines and everything inbetween, but after i get my car smogged and registered, I'm gonna have 93_tsi_fwd help me out since he lives 45 minutes from me. Thanks for the info though!
