Hello all! I recently destroyed my power steering reservoir when I was removing it, it almost litterally just crumbled while I was handling it. It had about a million little tiny holes due to the rust that plagues the entire New England area.
Anyway, I'm on the lookout for another reservoir around here at junkyards and whatnot. But I was also wondering, are there any aftermarket reservoirs that will work with 1G cars? Will just any reservoir work? Or do I have to go OEM?
I'll appreciate any helpfull input on this subject, and if anyone has any custom-made solutions they'd like to show I'd love to see! Including lines to and from your custom reservoir.
Also, I'm not interested in removing my power steering so please, don't tell me "just remove it".
Thanks All

I don't see why anyone would feel the need to upgrade something like this. The stock one is more than sufficient for any application. Buy a stock one for 10 bucks, and spend the money that you would spend on an aftermarket on maintenance.

I know it's sufficiant enough, it's a just a reservoir essentially, LOL. That doesn't answer any of my questions. I don't see anything wrong with a "different replacement" though. And I wouldn't call call it an upgrade myself either. But some people just like doin some things, "a little different".
I just talked to another member on here who's been looking to make his own custom one... Cool man! Power to you and let me see when its done! I might follow suit. :)
Also, some of the aftermarket ones like in the link I posted above already have built in -an fittngs for all the -an fans out there, just trying to make their car look nicer and nicer in the engine bay. In fact I remember reading about another DSMer who had converted/upgraded all his P.S. Lines to stainless with -an fittings. Why not top it off with a nice, new, different reservoir?
