Half asleep, I picked up a bottle of brake fluid and dumped a few ounces into my power steering fluid reservior. :coy:

I do know that the opposite, P/S fluid in the brake system will ruin it, but I don't see how the brake fluid should do any damage to the P/S system. A flush of the system and refill of the proper fluid should be satisfatory. Or am I wrong, and the brake fluid will bring the world crashing down around me?

Brake fluid is corrosive and there is a chance it might wreck the seals in the power steering pump. For what it's worth it's probably best to flush the system. Better safe than sorry
