after changing out my alterneter. i noticed it was covered in sludge. it looks like my power steering pump seal is gone. The one at the pulley. so when the pulley spins it throws the fluid all over. the leak is very small, since the fluid check stick changed just a little since last time. First off is this common, Can i just replace the seal, and if i can't fix it how much will the power steering pump be. I have a 90 GSX Thanks

Indeed. The only real way to get horsepower from no accessories is take everything off of the car including belts and devices. AC/Power Steering/Alternator but now we know that would make everything not work correctly. But it actually does make it fast becuase there is no drag on the motor. peace!!!
