Hey guys,
I need some help here, this is going to be long.
I've been having this problem for the last 6 months. My power steering fuild needs to be filled every few weeks, and I can tell when its getting low, because the wheel gets harder to turn, and the belts squeal really bad when I turn the wheel when its low on fluid. It seems to be leaking all over the PS and alternator belts, causing them to squeal really bad. when the fluid hits the belt, it throws that crap all over under the hood, its quite annoying.
Well I brought the car to the mitsubishi dealership twice now to have them fix it, and all they did was clean up all the fuild and put it on the diagnostics machine and told me that they can't do anything until they find out where its leaking from. So they clean it all up, and I bring it back in a week, they said not enough fluid has leaked, so i bring it back in another week and they say too much has leaked to find the leak....its a never ending circle with them.
the squealing of the belts wasn't too bad at first, but now its getting really bad and very annoying. they slip and squeal at idle a little, but as soon as I turn on my head lights and draw more current, they start going like crazy. when I turn a corner, its really bad. Once I get into 2nd gear the squealing goes away, but as soon as I put in the clutch, it starts up again, until I get back up into 2nd gear.
I dont' know what to do because the dealership doesn't seem to be able to do anything.
Any help will be very much appreciated!!
thank you everyone who tries to help
