My power steering is leaking from what seems to be the nut that holds the power steering lines down on the pump.. It's traveling up the threads and leaking out of the nut on top.. I put a copper washer too see if it would help the leaking but then the leaking kept coming out of the threads.. It looks like it's the wrong nut for it. But i don't know if that's why it's leaking out of the threads... and help is appreciated.. thanks

You could try RTV on the thread of the bolt. Is the PS overfilled?

COVER YOUR ALTERNATOR! If its not too late. PS leaks are a major alt killer. If you've relocated your alternator, disregard.

If im correct there are two orings one on top one on bottom of the ps bolt, got mine from napa, universal ones and a spare from my dsm collection of misc stuff.

I haven't thought of RTV on the threads. And my alternator is shot already, and it's leaking slowly but not enough to drip down onto my alternator.. I check my oil/coolant daily and also wipe whatever power steering fluid is on the nut or around it.. thanks for the heads up though :thumb:

2 O rings? I didn't see any when i added a new washer.. There was a crush washer on it before which wasn't even the right one and was leaking from the washer.. Now it's leaking from the threads after adding a new washer...
