Power loss? Whats going on?

This happened a couple times now, and in the past few days seems to be more often. Ill be cruising then hit WOT and it boosts up to 13 psi but theres no power, Ill shift (up) itll blow off like normal, and once Im back on the throttle itll boost and be normal and pull like it should. It happens every once in a while. Can it be boost leak even if its still reading full boost?

boost leak and probly fouled plugs because of the screwy A/F because of the leak.

go into 4th on the highway and start boosting (not at WOT) and see if you can hear the whistling or hissing sound.

This is only to be done after a boost leak test.
This is not meant to take the place of a boost leak test.
I do this after my tests to make sure i got all the leaks.

can it be heard over the sound of the turbo itself?

+1 sounds like boost leak. DO the test 1st! . and yes you can hear it

Do I maybe have my boost gauge hooked up at a bad spot?

that could be a possibility if you didn't split it right. Where do you have it hooked up?

It was there when I bought the car. Its on a vac line on the intake mani, Ill have to double check where exactly.

boost leak test.

Make a tester
attatch to turbo inlet
spray soapy water on all couplings and throttle body hoses, and hey, what the hell on the injectors too.

fill intake system with about 20-25psi
listen to for the hiss.
