when i start driving my car in the morning and its cold out it wont go over 2,000 rpms. when it hits 2000 rpms it drops to around 1000-1500 and if i dont push in the clutch the car starts to jerk back and forth, after about 30sec. of holding the rpms at around 1500 rpms the car will run just fine. any fead back back will be helpful.

Could be the coolant temp sensor, plugs and wires, fuel filter, etc. Has the check engine light came on since the problem started? Does anyone you know have a logger so you can log coolant temp when this happens?

ya, when it starts to serge the check engine light comes on and then shuts off when i push in the clutch
