My apologies if this post is in the wrong place! I bought a 95 Eagle Talon N/T about three months ago. I've already fixed some problems with the car electrically, mainly the radio/wiring that was all wrong. Anyhow the morons that had the car before me did something with all the locks. I have a key for the driver door, another one for the ignition, no lock cylinder in the passenger door at all and neither key works for the trunk! The power windows work great now, so does the radio, but the power locks don't. I replaced the fuse and it's good to go. The fuse isn't blowing when I push the power lock button. Every time I push the power lock button, I hear a clicking sound behind the radio where the relay is.

Before I buy a new relay, is it likely that the relay is the problem? Or is it probably the actuators? Is there a way to test the relay? I took both door panels off and don't see any wiring issues. Both of the round white clips are on the back of the lock cylinders. PLEASE HELP!

Replace the relay and they should work great I replaced mine and they worked and now when I press the button the doors lock but unlock right away I have no idea why its doing that maybe a faulty relay Im assuming

For 95'RS-T, pull the power door lock fuse and plug it back in. Do you hear the relay clicking? You might have a defective door lock cylinder switch that keeps unlocking the locks. Might have been what burned up the previous relay.

aanty, if you take the door panels off and unplug the actuator, you can use a test light to see if you are getting power from the relay to the actuator. Best way to check that everything is working like it is supposed to is check one wire at a time with the test light grounded. Make sure you get power on both sides of the plug. One side should light up when you press unlock, and the other side when you press lock. Then, if you are receiving power on both sides take a paper clip and push it down in one of the teminals of the plug. Hook the ground of the test light to the paper clip and probe the other terminal of the actuator plug with the pointed end of the test light. Now it should light up both times when pushing lock/unlock. If it doesn't then a ground is missing. Usually a switch problem if that is the case. If you don't get power to either side, then look for a bad relay or even possibly a broke wire(s) in the door jam where they run through the rubber flex hose.
